For me I personally feel that the challenges young people face in life do bring out the best in them. As the saying goes life doesn’t goes the way we want. If from young, people get whatever they want without even bothering to lay a single finger to work for it. Just image what will these so call ‘spoil kids’ be like when they grow up. What if things don’t go the way they want it to go, do you even know how to face it or are they strong enough to face the challenge that is right in front of them?
Whereas for teenagers that have been facing challenges from young, they learn and gain new knowledge through the obstacles they face. These challenges also help bring out the leadership qualities in these young people. There also can learn the importance of teamwork which will allow them to learn to work with different people in future. It does not matter if they fall, as failure lead to success. Young people may feel a little discouraged when they fail, but failure is also the road to their success. Teenagers can learn from their mistakes and work toward perfection.

My first day of school in secondary one
Secondary one was one of my most enjoyable times t had in my five years here. We had many fun and memorable times together. Looking back, we were all so immature then, all we wanted was to have fun.
I recall four years back, on the first day of school, all the teachers treated us like little angels all properly attired; boys with short neat hair and girls with their hair neatly pinned up.As I entered the classroom, I looked around me trying and hoping to see familiar faces. But ended up seeing a host of unfamiliar faces one after another. When turned to the last person who entered the class, I sighed to myself feeling slightly disappointed and rather lonely. So I looked for an empty seat and grabbed it. After getting seated, I started to look around again hoping to have someone friendly to sit beside me. A little boy, slightly too little for a secondary one student walked towards me and grabbed the seat beside me. And there was silence, then I started to wonder if I should greet him and him to introduce himself, before I could even say a word, he greeted me and asked for my primary school. I continued our conversation by asking the usual questions. Just before we could finish our conversation, our form teacher interrupted it by asking us to line up outside the classroom. The friendly councilors then brought us to many different parts of the school and introducing them to us…

Letter to ex teacher
Dear Ms Tan
It has been a number of years since you left teaching in Kent Ridge. But I believe that most of us will still remember you as our nice and friendly English and form teacher. Just wondering about how you have been, hope that you are fine and that you are still as happy and cheerful as before.
Over the years there have been many changes in our school. But some things never changes, our school is still as lively as usual during assembly. One of the most recent changes would be the slight change to the school uniform. Instead of collar pins, we have iron-on badge which is much bigger and obvious to others compared to the collar pins. It is more convenient as we don’t have to bother if we forgot our collar pins. Besides that, it saves the trouble for teachers as they no longer need to check and nag at us if we forgot to put it on. In spite of it being convenient, most of the students still dislike the new look of the school uniform because the feel that it does not look nice. As for me, I personally feel that collar pins will make our uniform look better and smarter and it gives us the responsibility to remind ourselves to put on our collar pins.
Not only have we had our looks changed, but also the appearance of our school. Our school has undergone painting over the holidays which I believe would make it a better learning environment for us as the painting makes our school look much brighter, more colourful and of cause cleaner that before. Another change which is something that most of the students have longed for which is the change of reporting time for every Thursday. That means we can meet up in the morning with friends to have our breakfast together.
Those are more or less some of the changes we have for this year hope to see you soon.
Your sincerely,
abel
